Abstract: Grounded in Ecocriticism and its affiliation with English and North-American literary studies, the Environmental Humanities grew to become a transdisciplinary and transnational field of critical thinking about the role played by the Humanities in the environmental crisis. They critique and state the importance of the ways of imagining, creating and intervening in and through the environment. This course addresses its problems and methodologies, particularly of the transdisciplinarity between the humanities, the natural and social sciences and the arts. The final module focuses on narrative modes of the environmental imagination.
