After the publication in 2015 of Contar (com) a Medicina, entirely funded by FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology, Edições Pedago, a commercial publisher, decided to bring out a second edition of this anthology – one of the outcomes of the project Narrative & Medicine: (con)texts and practices across disciplines. The publisher believes this volume will meet a perceived need in the market and is entirely justified as an answer to the present day situation in health care scenarios marked by a growing neglect of the patient as a person and of his/er experience of illness.
Professor Júlio Machado Vaz will present the book on the forthcoming 10th of March, at 6.30 pm, room D. Pedro V, at the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon.
