The latest issue of Anglo Saxonica (III: 5) features two distinct themes: the first thematic section, under the responsibility of Teresa Alves and Diana Almeida, focuses exclusively on the study of the American writer Eudora Welty. Comprising seven selected essays, written by various national and international researchers, it also includes an introductory theoretical framework written by Diana Almeida.
The second section of the journal includes five essays which have been previously submitted to peer-review. These texts encompass a wide range of subjects in the areas of Literature, Culture and Linguistics within English Studies. This section also includes an article written by the Irish author Nuala Ní Chonchúir.
Lastly, a review by Patricia Baubeta (Birmingham University) on the book published in 2011 by Peter Lang, Narrating the Portuguese Diaspora. Focusing on North American studies, this work showcases the results of collaboration between several international partners and ULICES.
Anglo Saxonica is an international, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal, that welcomes contributions from national and international researchers in the areas of English and North-American Studies (for further information: http://www.ulices.org/anglo-saxonica/anglo-saxonica.html).
